“It is through the creative process that we build emotional resiliency.”
Hi, I’m Andrea Krakovsky and I’m a Creative Healing Facilitator. I have spent a lifetime with anxious thoughts in an anxious world. We deserve better. I create space where folks can discover their capacity for curiosity, personal agency, and self-soothing through artistic expression. With me you will experience warmth, support, and acceptance and the opportunity to heal and grow using fun, engaging exercises, techniques and mediums all designed to get you back in touch with your own expansive healing abilities.
Whether you consider yourself creative or not, art and writing allow us to access our intuition, strength, and natural insight that support us in healing and growing. It is my belief that you have both the capacity and the right to these tools, and to an accepting, non-judgmental space that is specifically tailored to your needs and preferences.
In a session, my clients might play their favorite music, make a cup of hot chocolate, or bring their pet into the session. Likewise, I incorporate guided meditation that is informed by your experiences and personhood: If you’re someone who enjoys the outdoors, we might envision a beautiful hike, or if you love food, perhaps baking an apple pie. I customize each session to the needs of my client and adjust in response to what comes up in our time together.

The creative process is nurtured by practice, play, and learning, and each of these qualities is intrinsically healing. Each session is customized to the needs of the participant, and artistic background is neither a requirement nor an advantage in using these tools.
Practice positions us to bear witness to the fact that change, internal and external, is inevitable. Sometimes our emotions are so painful or exhausting that sitting with them fully can feel impossible. When we practice drawing, writing, deep breathing or movement, we soothe the nervous system and discover in ourselves an ability to feel more than our deepest pain. It is through the creative process that we build emotional resiliency.
Play is an agent of hope, and it can also feel unimaginable when we are suffering. Joy might feel so far away that reaching for it hurts. This is one reason why traditional prescriptions of self-improvement can seem unreachable; leaving us feeling inadequate, ashamed or hopeless. Together, we reach for what is available now and steadily nurture it.
Learning and healing are intertwined forms of growth. Typically, we don’t like learning if we think we are bad at it, but everyone is good at learning when their needs are met, and everyone has healing abilities when they receive the time and attention needed to nurture them.

I bring my whole self to the space and I invite all of you, as well. It is ok to make jokes, to be quiet, to get up and move around or to rip up your work at the end. There is no one-size-fits-all. I am here to nourish you with deep listening and to introduce tools, techniques, and perhaps a new medium that will help you get back in touch with your own expansive healing abilities. We push the boundaries of what it means to be our own creative healer and refine our practices, together.
